Different types of light bulbs and what the hues mean

Did you know that there is a difference between warm and cold lighting? The lower the number, the warmer, the higher the number equals colder. It’s important to pay attention to the type of lighting you allow into your house because it can impact your alertness.

When it comes to the temperature of lighting, the scale is measured in kelvins which range from 1,000 kelvins to 10,000 kelvins.

Warm light contains red, orange, and yellow tones, which creates a soft and cozy feel. However, cooler lights have a more blue tone, which evokes a brighter atmosphere.  For instance, in schools, corporate offices, and hospitals, the lighting is cooler to help maintain alertness. However, when you go to spas, cafes, and restaurants, the lighting is warm, to promote relaxation.

So, now that you know this, are you going to change the lighting in your house?

Let your mind wander,
