With the vast development of technology, designers worry that AI will wipe out the creatives.  Even though AI can’t necessarily do the same thing that humans can do, such as cultivate authentic expression, that still doesn’t mean that AI can’t produce exceptional work.  All it takes is plugging a few words into the software and then you’ll have the whole world patting you on the back for the bare minimum.

A few months ago, there was a trend on social media where people were posting AI-generated selfies.  Imagine your emo friend sharing a selfie of them portrayed as a fairy princess.  Yeah. That was going on for a while. The images ranged from space travelers to Renaissance-style paintings and pop art.  Some people even deleted their old photos on Instagram and flooded timelines with a different version of themselves.  It was crazy. 

Be honest, did you give it a try?  If not, then it’s good that you didn’t.  The news started warning the public about AI apps using our faces to create robots that look like us...as if that and doppelgangers don’t exist already.

But from learning all of this, what do you think? Will A. I get rid of the need for designers and wipe out the human race from existence.  Or will the design world be fine and enhance into something better than before?
